Duties & Responsibilities

The purpose of the Commission is to:
                Conduct research into business and industrial conditions in Our Town
                Seek to coordinate the activities of unofficial bodies organized for such purposes
                May advertise, prepare, print, and distribute books, maps, charts and pamphlets which, in its judgment, will further its official purpose
                Generally may take action as it deems advisable to carry out the general purpose of its mission.

In the event a member ceases to reside in North Stonington, his/her office shall be deemed vacant.

The members of the Commission receive no compensation for their services but are reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties subject to availability of appropriation of such expenses.
